Head of Hardware Robotics team

In your new role, you will …

  • be responsible for the coordination between the managers, the SW development team and your supervised teams
  • work closely with the leader of the SW development team
  • be responsible for the development and standardization of automation concepts with robot use
  • be responsible for CIM/CAM-based concepts in combination with MES and robots. You will supervise the design and implementation of such concepts by the engineering teams
  • have sole responsibility for the engineering team/teams coordinations
  • have sole responsibility for the creation and implementation of application-specific safety concepts
  • supervise the development of algorithms for workpiece coordinate-based machining
  • be responsible for the development and design of equipment prototypes and their associated software
  • be involved in continuous learning regarding robotic and engineering scientific field

You will succeed in the role because …

  • you have completed a degree in robotics, automation technology, mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable qualification
  • you have already gained 5 years of experience in the areas of control technology, robot use, software development and commissioning after your studies
  • you have experience in control engineering and software development
  • you are familiar with SBC/SOC/SIC prototyping and developing

Head of Software Robotics team

In your new role, you will …

  • Work closely with the leader of the SW development team
  • Coordinate the work of a diverse team of developers (including both web developers, backend developers and full-stack or DevOps)
  • Work remotely in close collaboration with your international team
  • Coordinate and maintain project plans for assigned projects using AGILE methodology (scrum or other)
  • Understand the challenges and needs of cobot and robot users and translate them into actionable tasks
  • Understand the challenges that the company need to face and contribute to the identification of the solution
  • Contribute to strategy and roadmap definition of the robotic software field at Softmining
  • Participate in and lead the design and development of the software solutions to improve user experience using robots and cobots
  • Work with robot programming language and web development tools
  • Continuous learning regarding robotics and cobotics
  • Coordinate projects and activities with Softmining teams and collaborators located around the world

You will succeed in the role because …

  • You have a good working knowledge of UML
  • You have already gained 5 years of working experience in the field
  • you are ready to work with custom hardware (es SBC, SOC, Custom chip). There is no need for specific SBC/SOC or architecture because you will be involved in the design step. 
  • You have software programming experience; the language is not important because we believe you will learn new programming languages if you have a strong background in the field. Still, familiarity with robot (any brand) programming would be advantageous.
  • You know different programming paradigms. Although the language is not essential in the case of robotics, generally use paradigms procedural, functional or otherwise very distant from the OOP world
  • You understand the challenges of our customers, you should have experience in manufacturing automation solutions, whether, from hardware, electrical or software aspects – experience in using robots is beneficial.
  • Domotics knowledge is welcome!
  • You have experience developing frontend and backend software and demonstrate that you understand the importance of user experience and how end-users interact with software.
  • You have an open mindset and a team spirit: we have a strong team culture, and therefore we are looking for new team members who align with the core values of our team and share our purpose.
  • You are familiar with at least one AGILE methodology;
  • For prototyping phases, you will be able to use an extreme programming methodology

Senior scientist - in silico drug discovery

In your new role, you will …

  • Coordinate a group of medicinal chemists and bioinformaticians
  • Work remotely in close collaboration with your international team
  • Design molecules and compound libraries using a broad spectrum of computational tools in collaboration with a team of medicinal chemists and experts in AI
  • Use advanced computational techniques, including the latest physics-based and AI/ML-based methods, on Linux-based computers internally and in the cloud to drive the discovery of new medicines
  • Serve as a scientific expert in multi-disciplinary discovery project teams that include chemists, structural biologists, and other discovery scientists by providing key expertise in the use and interpretation of 3D structural data related to drug targets and their ligands/inhibitors.
  • Collaborate within SoftMining and with external academic and industrial partners to develop new computational technologies to address key questions in drug discovery.
  • Be responsible for selecting and coordinating efficacy and toxicity trials conducted by international CROs
  • Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present them at scientific meetings.

You will succeed in the role because …

  • you have completed a PhD in Computational Chemistry or related discipline (to be completed before the time of hire), or a Master’s degree in Chemistry or related field with at least 9 years of drug discovery industry experience
  • you have a strong scientific track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or patent literature
  • you can communicate excellently both orally and in writing
  • you enjoy working in an international and cross-functional environment and have no difficulties with the English
  • you have good communication skills and can explain demanding technical issues simply and clearly.
